Preparing for an entire home renovation in Toronto, Beaches Neighbourhood
Home renovations can be challenging for homeowners who must remain on-site. However, it can be a breeze if handled by professionals.
We took extra steps and measures to ensure a seamless upgrade of this charming Beach home in one of Toronto’s most popular neighbourhoods.
First, we assembled a the right team of contractors to rebuild and remodel the house’s exterior and interior. Then we isolated the house from the construction site to protect the home’s living spaces.
To see how we prepared this Waverley Road home for renovation, watch this video with Luay, our construction project manager.
Exterior home renovation preparation
Our role in any construction project is to ensure safety, reduce noise, dust, and debris.
For this project, we’re re-plastering all the stucco on the house’s exterior, demolishing the deck, building a new concrete one, and changing the windows and gutters.
Therefore, it will be critical to keep the driveway and sidewalks clear, cover the landscape, and remove all patio furniture.
Interior home renovation preparation
For the home’s interior, we will be changing the handrails of the stairs, the pickets, and the treads.
In addition, we will install new doors, including the trim, casing, and hinges, replace the second floor with new engineered wood, and refurbish two washrooms, including an ensuite.
To get started, we installed protective flooring and built a partition to keep the home from getting damaged and separate the living spaces from the construction site.
